Today’s inspiration board is inspired by summertime! I love the summer and coral is a great color for a summer wedding.  Coral can easily be paired with many colors in the spectrum. Inspiration Board - New Year's Eve Wedding

If I’m going to pass around New Year’s Eve wedding planning advice then it is only right that we have some New Year’s Eve inspiration to go with it.  I love New Year’s Eve and a wedding on the biggest night of the year is amazing to me.  For one, I love to get dressed up and people always dress up for weddings.  A New Year’s Eve wedding will only inspire the best dressed.  For me, a New Year’s Eve wedding is black tie required.  Here’s my New Year’s Eve Inspiration board!

Tip: Black Tie does not mean Black and White attire is required.  It simply means women wear long gowns and men wear black or dark tuxedos or suites with a tie.  I just love a Black & White Wedding and I think New Year's Eve is the best opportunity to get your guests to wear it without much complaints. 

Bonus: Want to guide your wedding guests on what black tie means? Put an explanation on your wedding website.  When you send your Save The Dates, simply add your wedding website.  On the site you can add a section letting your guests know your wedding will be black tie required and what that means.

Fuchsia and Navy is my one of my favorite wedding color trends.  Fuchsia is always a crowd favorite but the unexpected combination of navy is an excellent compliment to the bold color like fuchsia.  Don't be a afraid to go against the norm.  Navy is your new Black!!

Happy "Belated" Valentine's Day

Pantone's Color of the Year 2012

Pantone's 2012 color of the year is Tangerine Tango!! I love tangerine so I'm pretty excited about this choice.  What I love most is, tangerine is a great color to coordinate with many colors.  It can be your main color or an accent color and it can work during any season of choice.  Today's inspiration boards pears Pantone's color of the year for 2010 which was Honeysuckle and 2009's color of the year, turquoise! Carnival Wedding Inspiration Board

So early this month in Trinidad & Tobago was their annual carnival which I missed.  My entire family and my Mr. Wonderful were there and I was here in the cold.  So to release some of bent up frustration here is T&T Carnival inspired inspiration board. It’s all about color, lively music and loving life.  When you are parading through the streets with a festive costume with your friends, all your problems disappear, all is right in the world, it’s Utopia and isn’t that what your wedding should feel like!!

The Year In Review

New Year's Eve is by far my favorite holiday.  I love any holiday that allows me to wear a LBD and some really haute shoes! Simple Grace – Inspiration Board

Lately I’ve been really into old things, well vintage things. I was looking through old family photos and it seems liked my grandparents put on their Sunday best every day of the week to do just about anything. We don’t dress up anymore or make anything a big deal, except weddings, this may be why I love weddings so much. Everyone dresses up and it’s a really BIG deal. This inspired an inspiration board which I like to call “Simple Grace”.  Inspired by vintage and the simple elegance of a different time.

Fall Has Arrived

Fall has officially started as of 11:00 pm yesterday here in NYC.  Although it feels like a beautiful summer day, fall is here.  To celebrate the change of the season, I wanted to share some past fall inspiration boards I've created with you.   

This is what I would like to call a soft side of fall.  Warm colors and soft tones with a romantic glow.

Purple was the new black in 2010.  This is a new way to have a fall wedding instead of the traditional color schemes of orange, yellow and brown.

Mustard yellow is a traditional fall color.  It's classic and you can't go wrong with it.  But this inspiration board mixes the traditional with some modern elements.
